The Creative Collective

Where creativity and connection meet ✨

  • From 42 British pounds
  • We meet in my joyful garden studio based in Northampton, NN3

Service Description

Come along to a gentle and welcoming environment, full of inspiration, joy and excitement, to meet new and like minded women whilst exploring the gift of creativity. We will enjoy getting to know each other, with a nourishing plant based sharing platter and drinks, whilst openly experimenting with beautiful art materials for the pure delight of enjoying the process. Creativity is within us all and so this collective is for the experienced artist who wants to spend more time playing, and very much the ‘non creative’ together, who is interested in discovering the positive effects of creativity. We will compose a safe space to journey through how art and creativity connects us to not only one another, but also ourselves. We will enjoy making marks in a beautiful sketchbook, with no pressure to perform, or reach a specific goal, and I hope this will become a place of excitement and respite equally for the creative who bravely steps into making this space for themselves. As time continues, we will all naturally build up a body of beautiful exploration work, personal to each of us, built from prompts supplied, inspiration from the studio or glorious garden, from one another and life itself, or perhaps just from the creative flow that will no doubt take hold of the artist that is courageous enough to begin. I will be avidly guiding and sharing along the way, while also experimenting at your side. Creativity is for everyone, and I can’t wait to share this space with you all. To make sure these gatherings are comfortable, numbers are limited to 6 people per session, if you are coming as a group or pair, you can book everyone in at once in the booking section. I have sifted through many sketchbooks over the years, and recommend you invest in the sketchbook bundle on your first session, which will include a Stillman & Birn : Beta Softcover Sketchbook- 270gsm cold pressed 7.5x7.5inch, a divine Blackwing pencil, and a small colour wheel to aid exploration. This, however, is not a necessity and if you wish to bring your own sketchbook, please feel free to do so, but be aware that not all sketchbooks were created equally and certain papers will not allow you to work with wet materials (watercolours, ink, markers etc) with as much ease as a higher quality paper. All other materials will be provided to use at each session and will vary and range from pencils, pens, crayons, pastels to inks, watercolours, acrylics and collage and many things in between.
